Ordination & Licensing Service at GNBC Tesano

By National Communication and Media Team

TESANO, ACCRA – In a landmark event for the Fellowship of Good News Bible Churches (FGNBC), six devoted ministers were officially commissioned into sacred service on Saturday, 8th November 2025. The solemn and joyous Licensing and Ordination Service, held at the Good News Bible Church, Tesano branch, marked a significant step in strengthening the church's leadership and expanding its ministry reach.

The historic ceremony was presided over by the National Secretary of the Fellowship, Rev. Emmanuel Awortwe, who represented the national leadership and underscored the collective support for the newly appointed pastors.

The service saw a cohort of six pastors receive their divine mandates, split into two distinct categories of commissioning. Three ministers were elevated to the office of Reverend Minister, receiving full ordination in recognition of their calling, experience, and commitment to theological service. They were joined by three other pastors who were licensed into the pastoral ministry, officially authorizing them to lead and shepherd congregations within the fellowship.

The atmosphere at the Tesano branch was one of palpable joy and reverence. The event was attended by a host of clergy from across the FGNBC, family members, friends, and congregants who gathered to witness the culmination of years of dedication, training, and unwavering faith. The service featured powerful worship, heartfelt prayers for the new pastors, and a charge to the ministers to remain steadfast in doctrine, diligent in service, and compassionate in leadership.

In his address, Rev. Awortwe charged the newly ordained and licensed pastors to be "servant leaders" who model their ministry after Jesus Christ. He emphasized the core values of the Fellowship, echoing the principles found in its ministries—such as evangelism, discipleship, and holistic development—and urged the pastors to lead their congregations with integrity and zeal.

This ordination and licensing service not only bolsters the pastoral workforce of the Good News Bible Churches but also signals a vibrant future for the fellowship. The newly commissioned pastors are expected to be deployed to various local and district churches, where they will play a pivotal role in nurturing existing congregations and spearheading new growth.

The event concluded with a heartfelt benediction and a sense of great anticipation for the fresh wave of spiritual leadership now unleashed within the Fellowship of Good News Bible Churches.
