Our Formation & History
EMA formation was on the drawing board of the GNBC for some time until it was officially outdoored in May 1992. The inception of the EMA as the Evangelism and Missions wing of the church was strategic. With its inception, some officers were chosen to manage its affairs.

Early Church Planting Initiatives (1992-1994)
Rev. Thomas Abugah was relocated by a directive from the National Church Council to work with Raymond Lee in an outreach to northerners in Accra in October 1992. Subsequently, this ministry came under the jurisdiction of EMA, so Thomas became a missionary under EMA and a member of the EMA Executive Board. Thomas was made a coordinator for outreach programmes.

Started in Kumasi through Norbert Ayaamo who was encouraged by Thomas to work with EMA

Planted through collaboration between Thomas, Ray, and Norbert

Old Nkawkaw Church
Initiated by Thomas with Jacob Denjei relocated to care for the church
Current Expansion & Growth
Today, EMA is currently expanding with missionaries now serving in Togo and Burkina Faso, as well as establishing new churches scattered across Ghana through the EMA outreach programs.

Key Personnel & Contributions
Rev. Thomas Abugah
Coordinator for outreach programmes, worked with Raymond Lee in Accra outreach, instrumental in planting multiple churches and recruiting more church planters into the ministry.
Norbert Ayaamo
Stationed in Kumasi, encouraged by Thomas to work with EMA. Instrumental in establishing Asuoyeboa Church and collaborating on Nkawie Church.
Jacob Denjei
Recruited by EMA and relocated from Chiana to Suhum, then to Nkawkaw to take care of the church planted there in 1994.
